Canadiana Collection

(Formerly Canadian Institute for Historical Microreproductions)

This historical collection consists of assorted primary and secondary resource documents pertaining to the history of madness in Canada, including both English and French content, and concentrating mainly on the 19th century. In 1988, the Canadian Institute for Historical Microreproductions (now Canadiana.org) compiled these materials and transferred them to microfiche. The following table enumerates the documents, and provides a brief description of their contents along with their CIHM catalogue numbers and dates of origin.
