• A collaborative public bilingual website on the history of madness in Canada which respects diversity of perspective, inclusiveness of involvement, theoretical flexibility and inter-disciplinary participation
• Consistent representation from patient/survivors/consumers on the website committee and on the web pages
• A resource for critical, reflexive research, teaching and public knowledge on Canadian psychiatric history
• A forum for the constructive and coordinated exchange of knowledge and storage of archival and secondary materials
• A location which fosters collaborative, interdisciplinary initiatives, particularly those which bridge community and academia, and disseminates research through innovative means
